Tricia Petteys, COO/Co-founder of Payroll Vault Franchising

SEP 17, 2021 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Littleton, Colorado (September 17, 2021) – Payroll Vault attended the Fourth Annual C-Suite Awards Ceremony to honor the region’s top C-Suite executives and the recognition of their very own C-Suite award recipient, Tricia Petteys on Tuesday, September 14th

Denver Business Journal’s theme for this year’s event was “transformation”. Petteys, COO/Co-founder of Payroll Vault Franchising, was recognized along with thirty-three C-level executives and a Lifetime Achievement Award winner. These individuals are recognized as leaders who directly support the vision of the top executive at their respective organizations.

Since Payroll Vault's inception, Petteys has been an integral part of launching Payroll Vault to success; so much that the brand was launched as a franchise concept in 2012 of which she is co-founder. For eight years running, Payroll Vault has been recognized by Franchise Business Review in the Top 50 Franchises in the nation for franchisee satisfaction, and most recently in Entrepreneur’s Top Ranked Franchise 500. Other notable recognitions and awards within the payroll industry have come to the workforce franchise through Franchising Today, Entrepreneur, Franchising Times, CPA Practice Advisor, HR Tech Outlook, Business View, amongst others for which Petteys has been directly responsible.

Each Payroll Vault office, now skyrocketing toward 70 offices nationwide, loves working with Petteys and finds tremendous value and deeply appreciate her thorough knowledge of payroll, human resources, and all areas of operations and leadership. She inspires and encourages creative problem solving while educating on best operating practices consistently.

In 2017 Payroll Vault was recognized as one of the Denver Business Journal’s Top 10 Best Places to Work because of Petteys’s dedication to her team, franchise system, and ability to ensure that the culture is emulated from management over to the processing teams and into each local community that is served across the nation.

Among Petteys’s dedication to culture and operational success, she has been instrumental in developing and supporting the corporate team by guiding the year-long implementation of Traction, a well-known entrepreneurial operating system (EOS). Traction drives teams to success through accountability and goal setting while supporting a culture of flexibility, decision making accountability, and the freedom to learn from mistakes. By implementing the renowned EOS, Payroll Vault has doubled quality production and streamlined its staff to perform at the highest levels of efficacy while doubling the size of the franchise system.

Petteys is instrumental in safeguarding the Payroll Vault culture which is firmly built on the foundation of having fun and excitement; a cultured that is intentionally designed to build a dedicated team that is cohesive in creating rewarding careers within a thriving organization under a respected brand in all communities. The strategy is to develop great behaviors, and beliefs and values that become learned, then passed on to others.

Petteys’s thoughts on transformation, “We’ve always been a pretty collaborative group, but we have taken collaboration to the next level. There are so many moving parts to payroll, taxes and credits during Covid-19, there’s no way we could have done it without a concerted team effort, which included all of our staff as well as our franchisees.”

Transformation is demonstrated through dramatic change, and to create change you must be committed and intentional, both of which Petteys identifies with on an ongoing basis. As a devoted leader and entrepreneur, Petteys thrives on pushing her knowledge, and others’, to the limits and learning new things. “As the integrator of our team, I’ve historically been in the details (and still am). These last 18 months have taught me how to also take a broader look at what we’re doing to think and act more strategically,” she explains.

There is no doubt that Petteys has earned this recognition. We look forward to following her continued success with Payroll Vault and beyond.
