Meet our Franchisees - No entrepreneurial path is the same.

Erica & Chris Mobley
New Orleans, Louisiana

MAR 07, 2021

Across the U.S., about 10% of people become business owners. Until then, a significant numbers of professionals work years in the corporate environment before taking the leap to business ownership. Each journey is unique, and every one of them has an interesting story of what lead them to the entrepreneurial edge!

Three-year Payroll Vault owners in New Orleans, Louisiana, Erica and Chris Mobley, spent years working for large companies in their respective industries – Oil & Gas and IT. The talented couple were content, but after a four-year expat stint in Germany, they decided it was time to make some changes.

As they embarked on examining opportunities, they began learning more about franchising which presented an alternative path to owning and operating a business. While exploring, the Mobleys found themselves drawn to the idea that they wanted to focus on their community and embrace it in a genuine southern way – with integrity, encouragement, hospitality, and understanding.

After months of cultivating their objectives and looking at franchise options, a promising possibility presented itself that offered the chance to work with and support the New Orleans small business community in the way they wanted – Payroll Vault.

“New Orleans is a small town that thrives off of customer service and relationships, and these attributes mirror the PRV brand,” explained Chris. Erica continued, “Joining the PRV family has been a great experience for us. Although we are a smaller agency and navigating more than one business, we are constantly impressed with the information, tools, and support provided by the home office.”

Since the Mobleys started their payroll service business, they haven’t looked back. In an ongoing COVID economy, business growth has remained consistent and is only intensifying with the ongoing support that businesses need. With recent updates to the Cares Act that is focused on the Employee Retention Tax Credit (ERTC), businesses need a trusted advisor more now than ever to help with navigating the process and discovering their refund potential. Their aspirations for 2021 are to double their client base and expand their reach to help more businesses.

When the Mobley’s find time to break away, you can find them most weekends on a soccer sideline or at a gymnastic meet supporting one of their kids. Erica enjoys cooking, Pilates, and the historic architecture of the city. Pre-COVID they could be found enjoying a good meal out. There isn't a doubt that they feel spoiled with the number of outstanding restaurants in New Orleans.
